List Of Boruto Arcs In Order Explained

1. Academy Entrance Arc

Episodes: 1 to 18

This arc tells the story of Boruto during his early days in the Academy and the subsequent attack of Nue in Konoha. Boruto has the mysterious Jogan and it activates due to Nue’s attacks. It is later revealed that Sumire, the class leader was the culprit behind Nue’s attacks but she is later forgiven for the crime and brought back into the system.

Sasuke spoke with one of Naruto’s clones overnight to receive information about the Gozu Tenn. Toneri is waiting for the arrival of the gods on the moon. Momoshiki and Kinshiki prepare to leave for Earth noticing the abnormalities committed by Kaguya.

2. Sarada Uchiha Arc

Episodes: 19 to 24

Chapters: 701 to 710

This arc follows Sarada’s increasing frustration with Sasuke’s absence and longing to see him. She also found a picture of Sasuke with Karin which makes Sarada doubt whether Sakura is her mother. She secretly overhears Naruto’s plan to see Sasuke and follows him along with Cho Cho. Meanwhile, a mysterious child with a Sharingan attacks Sarada but Naruto saves her and that child teleports.

Later Sarada meets Sasuke who doesn’t even realize that she is her daughter. It is revealed that the mysterious child is called Shin and is one of several children with Sharingan and they all have a father. They aim to revive Akatsuki.

3. School Trip Arc

Episodes: 25 to 34

This arc follows the journey of Boruto’s class in Kirigakure and the conflict they get involved in there. A new character called Kagura Karatachi acts as the guide of the group. Kagura is revealed to have a past of his own because of his time in the academy where he had to kill others.

Meanwhile, a group called New Seven Ninja Swordsmen formed by Shizuma Hoshihaki wants to start a coup d’état in Kirigakure, He wants to recruit Kagura Karatachi to the group and make him the new Mizukage.

4. Graduation Exam Arc

Episodes: 35 to 39

Chapters: NA

This arc is about the graduation exams conducted with Shino playing an important role as a teacher. Everyone in the class prepares for the exams and works hard to pass them. Meanwhile, Kakashi goes in disguise and tests every one and completely dismisses Boruto’s resolve to become a Ninja.

5. Genin Mission Arc

Episodes: 40 to 42

Team 7 takes their first mission under Konohamaru and their task is to expel small bandits from the Green Banks. Initially, it was expected to be a simple D-rank mission but the situation becomes tricky when it is revealed that Shinobi from other villages are also involved and the mission is beyond the level of Genins. The internal politics between the two villages is explored in this arc.

6. Byakuya Gang Arc

Episodes: 43 to 52

This story introduces a group called Byakuya Gang who are noble thieves who steal from the rich. Shikadai and Boruto get involvement personally as they learn about the intricacies of social inequality through them.

Gekko is the leader of the gang and Ryogi is a kid who is a member of the gang. Gekko has plans of its own and a past secret regarding Ryogi that no one knows.

7. Versus Momoshiki Arc (Chūnin Exam Arc)

Episodes: 53 to 66

Chapters: 1 to 10

This arc focuses on the aftermath of Kaguya and the white Zetsus that were left behind. Also, it shows the Chunin exam for the current generation of Genins. Other Otsutsukis are also involved in this arc.

The arc initially shows how Sasuke is on a mission to destroy the remaining White Zetsu and also finds clues about the Otsutsukis. Later Chunin exams are shown and the various rounds in them involve all the genins of this era. But it was eventually interrupted by Momoshiki and Kinshiki, the latter of which assaults the arena.

Then Naruto is transported to another space as a captive while Sasuke and Boruto go to rescue him with other Kages.

8. Cho-Cho Arc

Episodes: 67 to 71

This arc focuses primarily on Cho Cho. She is obsessed with Soap operas and her mission in this arc is to protect an actor named Tomaru. While shooting, Chocho replaces an injured actress, and it requires a kissing scene. And the arc further delves into Chocho’s insecurities about her appearance.

9. Mitsuki Disappearance Arc

Episodes: 72 to 92

Chapters: NA

This arc focuses on Mitsuki’s mental side, his exile from Konoha to find the truth about himself, and the quest to find him. Mitsuki attacks two Iwa Shinobi and escapes Konoha. Later Sarada and Boruto go to retrieve him by themselves but get caught up in a coup plot in a hidden village.

10. Parent and Child Day Arc

Episodes: 93 to 97

This arc focuses on the parent and child day that Naruto and Shikamaru announce. It initially focuses on the day spent by Naruto and Himawari. Then it focuses on an eating contest which is own by Akimichi. Finally, it also focuses on Sasuke trying to be a better father and getting along with Sarada.

11. Curse Mark Arc

Episodes: 98 to 105

This arc focuses on abnormal changes in the waterfowls and birds in the nearby village. As a result of these, the villagers suffer due to bird-borne diseases and other problems such as the destruction of crops. Later it is found that Jugo is somehow involved in all of these and the Konoha young Shinobis have to solve the situation.

12. Konoha Shinden Arc

This arc focuses on Mirai leaving on a mission accompanied by Kakashi and Might Guy. They travel to the Land of Hot Water, the village where Hidan who killed Asuma was born.

13. Konohamaru and Remon Arc

This arc tells the story of Konohamaru who saves a woman called Remon from falling down stairs. She misses her handkerchief which Konohamaru wants to return to her. Falling in love with her, Konohamaru goes to return the handkerchief but is asked by Remon never to see her again. But they realize that there is a mystery she is hiding and decide to find out.

14. One Tails Escort Mission Arc

Episodes: 120 to 127

In this arc, Urashiki targets the one-tailed Shukaku to capture him for his use. Gaara gives a mission to Kankurō, Shinki, and Boruto to take Shukaku who hides in a tea kettle to Naruto to keep him safe. As the mission goes on, Kankuro is injured and it is up to both Shinki and Boruto to protect Shikaku from Urashiki.

15. Time Slip Arc

Episodes: 128 to 140

In this arc, Urashiki takes the time-traveling device to go past to capture nine tails from a young Naruto. Boruto and Sasuke follow him into it and go to the past when Naruto and others were young. Sasuke and Boruto have to save young Naruto without giving away their identity.

16. Mujina Bandits Arc

Konohamaru assigns Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki a mission, ending with an in-progress bank robbery in the Hidden Leaf Village. But they fail to catch the leader of the Mujina bandit, Shojiji. Boruto is then assigned to be a bodyguard for Tento, son of the current daimyo and the heir to the Land of Fire.

17. Kara Actuation Arc

Team 7 goes on a dangerous mission to the Land of Silence, a lawless land filled with disgraced ninjas. They face an Inner of Kara named Deepa who has terrifying powers. After the fight, Boruto and Sarada realize they need the training to get stronger. Boruto wants to strengthen his signature Rasengan, and Sarada her Sharingan. Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura take on the task of training the Leaf’s next generation!

18. Kara/Ao Arc

Ao, the former Shinobi who took part in the 4th Great Ninja war lost his path and joined Kara. This arc is also the start of Kara’s movement in the story. Ao having been repaired using scientific technology fights Team 7 but is defeated by Boruto. Though Boruto declined to kill him, Koji appears and kills him.

19. Kawaki Arc (Vessel Arc | Kara Clash Arc | Ishiki’s Resurrection Arc)

Chapters: 24 to 55

The arc introduces the mysterious long-awaited character Kawaki. He ends up staying in Naruto’s house, which leads to building up a relationship between him and Naruto. This arc also shows the powers of other Kara members. Finally, the arc ends with a fight between Sasuke and Naruto against Jigen, an Otsutsuki.

20. Chunin Re-Examination Arc

Naruto proposes the Chunin Exam be held to raise morale after Isshiki’s attack. Everyone is fired up for the exam, eager to show off the results of their training and the experience they’ve gained from missions. It was also decided that scientific ninja tools will be allowed this time.
